A Midsummer Night's Dream

After weeks of preparation, the EP4 and EP5 classes collaboratively showcased a wonderful performance of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Friday 18th June, 2021. A large audience made up of parents and the wider student body, were entertained by the children’s dramatic and linguistic talents, with the school playground used as the ‘Athens amphitheatre’. The quality of the performance was a credit to the children’s dedication to learning their lines and finessing their acting skills. Many of the children even made their own costumes, props and backdrops for different scenes. In the words of the mischievous Puck: “Give me your hands. Let us all be friends. See Puck makes it well in the end”… The play certainly worked out well in the end for all involved. Friendships blossomed and the children had a very memorable learning experience.
