Collaboration at the International Film Festival

David Pirman, a P5S student, tried his hand as a juror at the 28th International Film Festival in Germany in the last week of September. He presented his unique experience in pictures and words.

My experience as a juror

From 23 to 30 September 2023, I attended the 28th Schlingel International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences, which this year took place in Chemnitz, Germany.

There, I was one of two Slovenian representatives on the European Children's Jury. In addition to Slovenians, the jury included children from Austria, Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. Our job was to watch and evaluate ten films. In the end, we chose an overall winner as a whole team, who then received the prize. At the closing ceremony, we were the last jury to present the award to Totem, directed by Sandro Burger.

I met actors and directors and made new friends at the festival. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience for me.
