Day of European Authors

On Monday, 27 March, we hosted the Slovenian writer Gabriela Babnik Ouattara as part of the European project "The Day of European Authors". The project aims to promote reading among young people, discover the diversity of European literature and spread awareness about the benefits of reading. Slovenian and English S1 - S3 students and their teachers attended the event.

We opened the event by watching a short video, where we learned about the writer's way of thinking when writing and the background to the production of her first novel. We continued with the interview where we delved into her beginnings as a writer and found out what motivates and inspires her writing. We ended the meeting by reading a short excerpt from one of her books in Slovenian, English, and French.

The writer's interesting interview and her positive energy made everyone enthusiastic about the event and encouraged us to read more.
