European School Ljubljana Teachers' Successful Job Shadowing in Jelgava, Latvia

From October 16th to 21st, three European School Ljubljana teachers engaged in an enriching Erasmus + job shadowing experience at Jelgavas 4. sākumskola in Latvia. Here's a brief overview of their remarkable journey:

Day 1 - Warm Welcome and Workshop:

The teachers were greeted with a warm ceremony featuring Latvian students' dances and songs. They exchanged school presentations, observed lessons, and had an insightful presentation by Richard Dunne on the Harmony Approach. Day 1 also involved workshops on the Harmony Project and discussions about project principles and values. Later, they planned international collaboration over dinner.

Day 2 - Productivity and Exploration

The second day was filled with productive workshops on Harmony Principles, lesson observations, and interactions with Latvian students. Exploring a local food market and Jelgava added cultural depth to the experience. The day ended with the creation of a comprehensive project plan.

Day 3 - Embracing Nature and Cooperation

Day 3 took our teachers to the beautiful Latvian forest, where they engaged in conversations with English-proficient local students. A visit to the Baltic sandy shore added to the adventure. The day concluded with a productive meeting with project partners, followed by a pleasant town walk and group dinner.

Day 4 - Cultural Connection in Riga

In Riga, our teachers discovered cultural similarities between Latvia and Slovenia, reinforcing their bond. The day concluded with a closing ceremony where they experienced the oneness of the Harmony principle.

This experience showcased the power of international collaboration and cultural exchange, enriching the European School Ljubljana community. Our teachers returned with new knowledge and friendships, reinforcing the spirit of unity and harmony within the European School Ljubljana community.
