To begin our measurement unit, students explored Inch by Inch by Leo Lionni. Inspired by the story, they created their own measuring worms and discovered how measurement can help us understand the world around us.

In the following days, students developed this important skill by learning to use rulers and measuring tapes to measure in centimetres and metres. They then took on a measuring challenge, exploring both inside and outside the classroom to measure different objects.
