Does the Size and Weight of an Orange Affect Its Juice Volume?
This was the central question that sparked P1E’s latest math inquiry. To apply their newly acquired skills in measuring length, weight, and volume, the students carried out a hands-on experiment.
With curiosity and enthusiasm, they measured the diameter and weight of each orange before squeezing it to determine the volume of juice. Through careful observation and comparison, the class concluded that the size and weight of an orange are directly proportional to the amount of juice it produces.
Of course, the best part of the experiment was getting to enjoy the delicious, tangy juice afterward!
