Monday – Welcoming Our Guests from Wales
Monday – Welcoming Our Guests from Wales
On Monday, 5 October 2026, we were delighted to welcome seven students and two teachers from the Welsh school Ysgol y Dderi to European School Ljubljana. Throughout the week, our guests will have the opportunity to discover our school, explore Ljubljana and experience life in Slovenia.
The first day was dedicated to getting to know our school and students, making new friends and taking part in activities together. Our guests joined English, PE and Ethics lessons and worked alongside our P4 students to explore and compare the climate challenges facing Slovenia and Wales.
In the afternoon, they enjoyed a walk through Ljubljana’s historic city centre before taking the funicular up to Ljubljana Castle. There, they participated in the Castle Chef cooking workshop, which proved to be a particular highlight of the day!
