On Monday, 17 April, European School Ljubljana hosted the Slovenian comic strips artist and illustrator David Krančan as part of the Slovenian project Stripsrečevanje. The project, which is organized by the Slovene publishing house Stripburger, aims to promote comic creativity and encourage reading of comic strips in Slovenia.

The project was organized separately for the Slovenian and English sections, and both lectures were attended by interested secondary school students.

During the lecture, David Krančan presented his works and his method of making comics. He introduced us to the key elements of comic strips and showed us the different ways in which we can tell a story through illustrations in comics (including the most basic forms).

The lecturer stimulated our artistic potential and reminded us of the joy of reading comics. All of us truly enjoyed his presentation.
