Step into our little world, where big feelings are part of our everyday adventures!

In Nursery, we are exploring emotions and feelings, learning how to recognise and express them, and understanding that every feeling has its place. One of our favourite books is The Colour Monster, which helps us discover how different emotions can be represented through colours.

Inspired by the story, each child created their very own little monster, using colours and facial expressions to represent different emotions. Every monster was unique, just like the little person who created it!

Our daily routine also includes a special friend, Mr Feels, who experiences many different emotions, sometimes all at once. The children love interacting with him, helping him explore his feelings and sharing their own thoughts and experiences along the way.

Through stories, creativity, play and conversation, we are learning that it is perfectly normal to feel happy, sad, angry, worried or excited, and that talking about our feelings helps us understand ourselves and one another a little better.



After all, even in our little Nursery world, feelings can be big, and every little voice matters.
