Puppet Museum Visit P5E

On the 9th of February, EP5 went to the puppet museum.

First, we walked to the funicular by the Ljubljana castle. We went on it. There was a pleasant view. We could see the snow topped mountains. When we came to the top of the hill, we went inside. Then we started the tour. First, we saw the two puppet heads in water. They were creepy. Next, the tour guide, showed us what marionettes are. They are heavy but small puppets operated with strings. They are very heavy compared to their size!

Then we looked at the history of puppets and puppetry. The oldest Slovene puppets were made in the 12 century they were small and made of metal.

In the 13 century puppets were weird and a bit creepy they were a bit broken since they were made of easily broken plaster.

The next box had soldier – puppets and was made during the 2-world war to cheer people up.

Then when we went to the second floor, we saw giant puppets. These puppets were all boys but the actresses who played them were girls.

After that, the guide let us play with the installations. These were puppet theatres and cleverly engineered bells and sittingpuppets. We even put up our own plays with shadow puppets, hand puppets and wooden animal puppets. Our plays were mostly silly fights.

After that we went to see the high viewing tower, it was incredibly fun, and the view was awesome!

Then we went to the overpriced gift shop

We bought lots of things and most of us ran out of money.

Ha Ha Ha

The end!
