S1 - The Science of Cooking
S1S Cooking, Exploring and Creating

At the European School, we not only teach our pupils academic knowledge, but also essential life skills. In their science lessons, the S1S class explored cooking techniques and the chemical reactions that occur during the cooking process.
To put their knowledge to the test, they were given the opportunity to cook on three separate occasions. First, they baked bread; then they made caramel; and finally, they prepared potatoes.
The pupils chose their own method of preparation and selected a suitable recipe independently. At the end, their dishes were evaluated by teachers, who took on the role of judges in our very own special edition of MasterChef.
