S5 and S6 in Celje
S5 and S6 in Celje
On Thursday, 6 November 2025, students from S5 and S6 of both language sections went on a full-day interdisciplinary excursion to Celje. The day combined elements of natural science and history.
In the morning, they visited the Tehnopark Science and Entertainment Centre, where they explored topics in science, technology, and the natural world through interactive research stations. During a guided workshop, they even made their own soap, which they were able to take home as a souvenir.
In the afternoon, the students visited the Museum of Recent History Celje, where they took part in guided tours of two exhibitions. The first introduced them to everyday life in Celje during the 20th century and included a walk down Craftsmen’s Street. The second exhibition, organised to mark the 80th anniversary of the Second World War, told the story of Celje and the wider Styria region in 1945.
During their lunch break, students had the opportunity to explore Celje’s old town independently. Many discovered that the city offers a wealth of other sights and experiences—making it a place well worth visiting again.
