On 5 March, the students of class S2S marked the first National Reading Day in Slovenia. We spent our Slovenian lesson in the school library, focusing on promoting reading among our peers.

The students became true “book consultants.” Each student chose their favourite book, or the one that inspired them the most, and placed a special bookmark inside it with a personal recommendation: You have to read this book because…

Our aim was to encourage students to share great stories with one another. The bookmarks have been left inside the books on the library shelves, where they are now waiting for the next readers to discover them.

We hope that our notes will brighten someone’s visit to the library and help them find the perfect story to enjoy.
