Embracing Diversity: Erasmus Activities in April

Join us for a month dedicated to celebrating diversity with our Erasmus activities in April! Building on the success of our March group meeting, this month, we explore the importance of diversity in various forms. Here's what we have planned:

  • Let’s Explore Biodiversity Padlet: Our partner school from Elba has invited us to contribute posters to a collaborative Padlet focusing on bees, pollination, and other biodiversity topics. Join us in sharing and learning!

  • Bee T-Shirt Logo Design Competition: Calling all students to explore their creativity in designing the best bee-themed T-shirt logo. Show us why bees are so brilliant with your unique design!
  • Sustainable Diversity Garden: Our primary classes are nurturing flowerpots with seeds planted by our Erasmus group at the Botanical Garden Ljubljana. We celebrate Earth month by learning about our local flora, fauna, and pollinators. On the Earth Day pupils will replant the sustainability garden and hang planters on the playground fence for our pollinator friends to have a feast.

  • Beekeeper’s Visit: We're honoured to welcome Mr. Aleš Süssinger, a licensed beekeeping tourist guide and esteemed figure in the Slovenian beekeeping community. Our guest will educate ESLj Primary and Secondary students about the importance of bees, their interdependence, communication, and overall well-being."

  • Bees Wax Wraps: As part of our commitment to sustainability, P5 pupils recently participated in an online international meeting with students from Italy and Wales. Special guest Mrs. Clara, CEO of Italian Company Beeopack, showcased their eco-friendly food wraps made of organic cotton fabric soaked in organic beeswax. Join us in celebrating Earth Month by ordering this stylish and sustainable product!

  • Zero Food Waste Day: Join us on April 24, 2024, for Zero Food Waste Day! Let's come together to raise awareness about the value of food and the importance of reducing waste. Together, we can make a difference by treating food with the respect it deserves.

We invite all students, parents and staff to engage with us in these enriching activities as we embrace and celebrate the principle of diversity throughout April. Let's learn, create, and grow together!
