The European School of Ljubljana participates in the Erasmus HAPI program. The project aims to introduce students to a more sustainable way of life. We have decided to spend as much time as possible in nature with the pupils in the classroom.

This time will be dedicated to a wide range of activities that promote healthy lifestyles and learning outside the classroom. We recently organized a winter sports day for our pupils in Pokljuka. You can read more about what we did in Pokljuka in this article by student David Pirman.

TO SNOWY POKLJUKA FOR VITAMIN D

Kindergarten and primary pupils swapped foggy Ljubljana for a day in sunny and snowy Pokljuka. On Thursday, February 1, 2024, we had a winter sports day at the Pokljuka Sports Centre.

Various activities were organized, including sledging and snow games. Pupils from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades were able to take part in a cross-country skiing lesson after having registered in advance. The weather was fine and the sun shone, so nobody got cold. Lunch at the Hotel Center was excellent.

The day, which was meant to socialize and disconnect from the daily school commitments, went by too quickly. Satisfied with new memories and experiences, we returned to the warm embrace of our parents.
